How to start a group buy that fills
Most groups that fill have one thing in common: a requirement that a stranger can read in ten seconds and say "that is what I want too".
Be specific about the item
Name exactly what you want - the make and model, the project and unit type, the product and grade. Specific requirements find specific people.
Pick a place
Buyers join groups in the city where they can take delivery or visit. Choose the city or district your buyers will actually be in.
Set a quantity and a date
The target quantity tells buyers how large the group must be to matter. The join-by date gives them a reason to decide now. A date that is too far away lets interest fade; one that is too near does not allow time for the group to form.
Keep it honest
Say what you know and what you do not. A group built on a clear, truthful requirement survives the negotiation; one built on promises does not.
Questions
Can anyone post a requirement?
Yes, after signing in. Nobody pays while a group is still growing.
What if no one joins?
Then the group does not form. Nobody pays while a group is still growing, so nothing is owed.
